04 Feb Soft shades of brown
A view of a bedroom Chateau de Pampelonne Tarn. I deliberately plastered the walls unevenly ,applying a mixture of paint and dyes to get an antique effect, the ‘well lived in’ , shabby look. The lamp base is made out of a solid piece of chesnut wood left ‘raw’ , hessian lampshade, table is covered by a skin bought from Albi flea market, the armchair is part of a set of 4 ,19thcentury, curtains are made from silk found in Marché St Pierre in Paris, the two earth pots are (dare I say it?) from Ikea(!) chest of drawers louis xvi-I took the layers of wax off to reveal the oak.
